Eddie was born in Eufaula, AL and moved to Walker County at the young age of 7. He was a 1964 graduate of Curry High School and then attended Walker College. Eddie and his wife, Lisa, have 2 children - Malinda Felts and Nathan Miller - and a grandson, Alex Felts. Eddie and Lisa are members of First Methodist Church of Jasper.
A good portion of Eddie's work experience was spent in public works. He retired from the City of Jasper after 25 years of service as Public Works Superintendent.
Eddie's love of sports led him, at Curry High School, to be selected as an all state football player. He became a basketball official after college and worked in the S.E.C. For 21 years. He was selected as a member of the first Walker County Sports Hall of Fame and then to the 2020 Alabama Sports Officials Hall of Fame.
Eddie and Lisa reside in Jasper where they are actively involved in the community.
